I think your comics are really cool. Keep up the good work Erin, and don't let anybody (especially that evil clone of yours) get you down. :D

As a non-american I will stand up and APPLAUD you. You have a right to say whatever you please; after all, we get to read your comic at your pleasure only (how does it feel to be god? ^^;) so you go girl!
Besides, I'm rather interested in America's future since I have a scary notion that someday someone with world domination in mind might get elected... I really wish they'd distribute those oreos somewhere other than the military... *sigh*
Um... Bye!

First
I seriously wish that your comic was required reading in every school from late grade school on up. It puts a human face on one of the most badly treated minorities in the world, and a human face on the people who mistreat those who are TG.
Next
I saw your comments about people reacting badly to your not "doing the comic" right after Bush was elected for the first time (into his 2nd term as president). I am sorry that people have been behaving badly toward you. I completely agree and support your having a NORMAL strong emotional response to Bush being elected to another 4 years of promoting intolerance and religious fascism. It is a big deal. It is huge. I live in Australia these days (used to be in the USA) and down here people are looking this election with a lot of fear.
At any rate, the election results were a big blow against freedom and equality. It is totally normal for a person to deal badly with the idea of being "ruled" by a person who wants to make being "you" illegal. I like your comic a lot. I do. But the real world of people and their lives is more important. Your life is more important than doing the strip. The results of this election have sent shudders all over the world.
So, to exercise our "good boundary" behavior for the day...
You have the right to do whatever you like, say what you like, draw what you like, etc. It is your time and your life. You (and your talent) are not the property of the fans of your comic strip. You belong to yourself.
That said, there are people in the world (mostly people who live and breathe "fandom") who think that they somehow have the right to make demands of people who give them entertainment for free. They honestly believe that creative people like you, owe them something. If anything they owe you.
But that is not how they see it.
They live in a different world - the world of extended childhood. From the dank recesses of their pizza-box-laden basements (usually their parents basements) they wander the Internet (because they rarely talk to "flesh" people...at least not about actual real life events) and look for entertainment. They look for novel thrills, maybe even "trendy" ones...and when they do not get what they want, they throw a tantrum.
So, if it helps any, think of it as an adventure into the "abnormal psychology" of the maladjusted and "socially delayed".

Well i could care less about an election in a country that doesnt affect me at all (but for the record i think bush is a damned fool, and when he destroy's the world i'll be glad to be so far away from everywhere else)
BUT, i must say i put you in the "win" section of my disorganised head, of course previously you were there, but those two pages of `rant` were amazing, so you get special mention
now, get back on your unicycle and sing
standard disclaimer : Being Australian i am used to people on the internet not understanding my humour, so know that what i say is 99% of the time in jest, and nothing is serious, i will now return you to your previous programming

Way to go Erin.
I applaud you for standing up and speaking out for what you believe in. As for the vocal minority I applaud you again for standing up again to let them know you are not intimidated. Although I eagerly await each installment of Venus Envy. I believe you have the right to express your feelings any way you see fit. I personally believe that neither of the Candidates for this election deserves to be president of this country. Bush has already shown himself to be a Bigot and a Liar, who allows his religious beliefs to influence his political views, and I fear Kerry is of the same cloth so to speak. I would not trust Kerry in the office any more than I trust Bush.
I am Trans and have been living 24/7 for the past 11 years. Nine of those years have been spent fighting a battle in the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination for the rights of Transgendered in the workplace. I carry on the fight for equal rights my way and you carry on the fight your way. So I just wanted to let you know that you do not stand alone. keep fighting the good fight. After all the Constitution gaurantees equal rights to all not just White Hetero Males. We the Trans gendered of the world must stand together and help all of our brothers and sisters to achievetheir goals.

hey chica -
You are very passionate and intelligent - not to mention a wonderful artist and storyteller - and you are more than entitled to put whatever you want to put on YOUR site - your comic, your opinions, or your rants. Anyone who has a problem with this does not have to visit YOUR site. This is not a cookie-cutter marvel comic rip-off. The site by its very nature is geared towards a certain political and social agenda, the artist is obviously intelligent and socially opinionated. This is all inherent to the comic. So you should not be concerned with the stupidity of those who can't seem to understand that you are entitled to express whatever you want on YOUR site, and are somehow shocked that you would speak out against Bush and his evil empire. As for the Republicans out there who read your comic - I'm very glad to see that not all Republicans out there are homophobic, trans-phobic, christian-right, brainwashed pricks as the current administration maintains. But being even a life-long, dedicated republican does not mean you have to support a man or a regime that represents an extremist and minority position in your party, adheres to a religious sub-doctrine that supports world violence for the furthering of the "predictions" in Revelations, and gives lip-service to "moral" values and U.S. security while betraying the morals of Christianity with violence and intolerance, and ignoring continuous terrorist threats right up until 9-11. You can be a republican and not support HIM or his administration. Republicans should be outraged by the mockery that Bush has made of the party, and the manner in which he and his people have betrayed true Republicans in this country - not to mention everyone else. There are plenty of sane and intelligent Republicans to rally behind - put your support behind them. And vote against any further Bush family members that may crop up seeking the presidency in the next Republican primary.

Erin,
I love your comic. I'm a white, male, heterosexual, middle class, young Australian, and I just wanted you to know that you've had an effect on the opinions of at least one person. You've opened my eyes to the lives of a group of people who I had previously considered deluded or suffering from a mental illness.
Thankyou for changing me.
And keep up the good work! both the comic and your opionons. Theres a quote you forgot to add to your last comic: all it takes for evil to triumph is for good to step aside.
Fight for the futer.

I can't say I feel your pain cos duh I'm not you.
I'll just say ignorance is my worse enemy. And ignorance of peoples rights is everybodys worst enemy.
But you probably knew that cos your smart and shit.

Go to it, girl! Love the quotes at the end of this latest comic. VERY appropos. I am an ordained minister, and if it EVER becomes legal to do so, I plan to be first in line offering my services to gay couples. And those in my immediate community know that. Of course I'd probably have to move out of the country first *sigh*
